Young Carers Support
Cheshire East Young Carers' Hub provides a single point of access for all Carers including both Young and Adult Carers. The Hub will ensure that Carers of all ages will have access to information, advice and a wide range of support services. These support services are designed to help Carers continue in their caring role for as long as they choose and to reduce the impact the caring role can have on a Carers own health and well-being. Support could include:
- 1-2-1 or group based support
- Peer support
- Support to take a break
- Information, advice and guidance
- Support to access community, health and wellbeing services
- Access to activities, training, living well fund and much more.
Please see the attached information leaflet. If you would like any further information regarding the Young Carers Hub, please email the school office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cheshire Young Carers support young carers across Cheshire in three key areas, school holiday respite programmes, individual & group support where necessary plus working with schools/colleges to provide specialised support where required. Principally Cheshire Young Carers is funded by private donations.
For most pupils, the school holidays are a time to get some well-deserved rest. However for a young carer, this is often the most stressful time, as school provides a chance to see friends and is a positive environment. They may feel more relaxed here than in their own home. To support these young people, Cheshire Young Carers deliver respite support during all school holiday periods focused around activity programmes with plenty of activities and lots of new experiences.
There are many other services which Cheshire Young Carers provide. I have also attached their information leaflet which provides more details.
