Year 3's Mayan Festival

Year 3JB's Mayan Festival

Year 3 have enjoyed creating their own Mayan masks. Their masks represented animals, were warrior masks designed to intimidate enemies or were colourful masks designed to appease the gods. 

After this, we held our own Mayan Festival, where we informed the gods that we were celebrating through the use of instruments. Then, the priest organised a ball game, where the prisoners lost, and something very unfortunate happened... 

We will be using this experience to write a diary entry in our next history lesson.
