Town Sports 2019

This week the Crewe and Nantwich Town Sports events took place. There were 33 schools participating this year, the highest number of schools to ever enter! 35 of our KS2 children from years 3-6 competed over the two events.
 
Monday 24th June – Field Events at the Cumberland Arena
Children took part in the field events including, the high jump, long jump and javelin. All the children that competed were fantastic and really enjoyed the competitive but fun environment. Congratulations to Angelia who finished 2nd in the Y6 girls Javelin and Tommy who came 1st in the Y6 boys high jump!

Wednesday 26th June – Track Events at the Barony 
Children took part in the track events including, sprint, hurdles, bean bag and relay. It was a great atmosphere throughout the competition and the children were amazing! Well done to all our superstar competitors and congratulations to the following top 3 finishers:

Kacper N-1ST Sprint race
Riley Everall-2nd Bean bag race
Brad-3rd Bean bag race
Sultan-3rd Sprint race
Rhys T-2nd Hurdles race

A special mention and thank you to Mr Hilsden who has continued to support and help lead PE. This was his last ever Town Sports with us and we will miss him so much.
