School Performance Tables : Wistaston Academy in the top 100

It’s official - Wistaston Academy is amongst the 100 top performing schools in the country!  We were overjoyed to receive a letter this week from David Laws, the Minister of State for Schools, announcing this achievement.  We feel this confirms our Ofsted grade of Outstanding and is a testament to the progress our pupils make.   This level of achievement is only made possible by excellent teaching, not just during an inspection, but every day and in every year.  This recognition is especially significant since the school was once eighth from the bottom of the national league tables in 2007.
