Hi,

Hope you are all doing well.

It is so lovely to see pictures, emails and work being sent through via email and purple mash. Thanks.

Normally in school, we would all participate in  PSHCE learning and I thought the children would enjoy the activities that we were supposed to do this week. We have emailed the PowerPoint and a couple of worksheets for you to use. Also the PowerPoint is also in the files below as 'Home Learning PSHCE Lesson 1 Sleep'.  PSHCE stands for personal, social, health, citizenship education. In the lessons we normally have a lot of discussion about the topic. This week is all about sleep and bedtime routine.

Also as a quick reminder the children have access to YUMU which is a music programme if they are wanting 20 minutes of singing and dancing. Also Mrs Walsh and Mrs Adamczyk have put some other activities on their pages for art and PE.

If you need anything, please send me an email.

Hi Year 3

Hope you and your families are well and keeping busy at home.

Miss Williams and I have set some 2dos on Purple Mash for you to complete if you have access to the internet. Please make sure you check this regularly as we will be adding to these. You are also able to email us to let us know what you have been doing at home, ask us any questions about your home learning or even just to say hi.

Don't forget to have a go at the Maths and English workbooks and guided reading activities that we sent home. Also remember to use TT Rockstars, Numbots and Spelling Shed! All your passwords are inside your home learning folders.

Make sure you are reading regularly. There are so many online books that you can read if you log on to myON.co.uk (you can log in using your Accelerated Reader details). Also, remember that you can now quiz from home!

Also, remember that you can now quiz from home!

Type into your search bar: https://ukhosted63.renlearn.co.uk/3562743/default.aspx

You must be very specific with this. If you just type AR into google search it won’t work!

Happy reading and quizzing.

In the files section, you will find a list of activities that you can be doing at home and a proposed timetable that you could use.

Keep doing a great job of working from home and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Miss Willis

Our names are Miss Willis and Miss Williams. Learning in Year 3 is supported by Mrs Cave and Miss Wright.

In Maths this year, we have been learning about place value and the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). We have also looked at money, statistics and length and perimeter.

During Literacy, we have read The BFG, Stone Age Boy, The Iron Man and The Magic Finger. Using these books we have written a character description, instructions, a non-chronological report, letters (formal and informal), a recount and stories.

Art

Children receive weekly Art sessions led by Mrs Walsh in the dedicated art room.

PE

Our PE days are Wednesdays (with Miss Willis and Miss Williams) and Fridays (with Mrs Adamczyk). Please make sure that your child has a named kit, which includes black pumps or trainers, black shorts and either a green or white t-shirt. Long hair needs to be tied back.

All earrings need to be removed before school or the lesson for PE sessions. Where ears have recently been pierced, it is essential that children have their own plasters from home to cover their earrings. This needs to be done either at home or by the child themselves. This is in line with the school policy.
